Dr. Aruna Shekar is an educator who shares her vast knowledge to help people achieve their potential. She is an Innovation Coach and mentors individuals, startups, and businesses. As Dean, she has taught Product Innovation at Massey University (NZ) for twenty-five years, supervised undergrads and post-grads, and has coordinated the final year Product development projects with industry. Course Outline
Module 1: Introduction to the Design Thinking Course
This module marks your first introduction to Design Thinking. Learn all about your coach in this journey, discover all about the course structure and the learning outcomes.
Module 2: Process Overview
In this module, you will learn the 5 Stages of the Design Thinking process along with its key principles and different approaches to design thinking.
Module 3: Empathy Stage
This Lesson teaches you about the Empathy Stage
Module 4: Define Stage
In this module, you will learn about Mind Maps as a method to be used. This module will also help you frame a problem statement that starts with “How might we….” Take the quiz to assess your understanding of all concepts covered till now.
Module 5: Ideate Stage
In this module, through the help of a video lesson, you will learn how to generate ideas by making use of multiple methods that can help stimulate novel concepts.
Module 6: Prototype Stage
The video lesson in this module will help you learn how to make simple, quick, and low-cost mock-ups. You will get to see real-world case studies and examples.
Module 7: Testing Stage
This module helps you in learning how to gather feedback regarding your prototype so that it can be refined further. Various methods and examples are covered. Take the quiz to check your understanding of the concepts.
